Amid swirling rumors connecting him to a Manchester United move for the 2026/27 campaign, Chelsea FC’s star man Cole Palmer has finally set the record straight concerning his future.
Addressing the speculation in a Guardian interview ahead of this Saturday’s clash with United, Palmer dismissed the reports as nothing more than a joke, admitting he finds the constant links to both Old Trafford and the Etihad quite humorous.
Cole Palmer’s speaks on His Future at Chelsea
When pressed on his long-term commitment to the Blues, Palmer was blunt about his intentions. Despite his Manchester roots, he emphasized that his life and career are firmly planted in London.
“I have got no plans to move club, and when I see it I just laugh. Obviously Manchester is my home… but I don’t miss it. When I get home I think there’s nothing there for me anyway.”

Vision for 2026/27: Ambition and Recruitment
Beyond the transfer talk, Palmer offered insight into the club’s trajectory and his discussions with the board. He believes that securing a Champions League berth is the catalyst needed to transform Chelsea back into a powerhouse. According to Palmer, the owners are aligned with the squad’s vision to “win now,” and he remains confident that a few strategic signings this summer will bridge the gap between Chelsea and the league’s elite.
The Road Ahead: The Battle for Top Four
While Palmer is optimistic, Chelsea faces a grueling path to European qualification. Their schedule is packed with high-stakes fixtures that will test their consistency. Whether the squad can accumulate enough points to satisfy their Champions League ambitions remains the defining question of the season’s final stretch.
