Real Madrid has finalized the acquisition of promising Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The club formally announced on its official website on Thursday, August 6, 2026, that a deal with the German side had been struck.
The 19-year-old talent has committed to a seven-year deal at the Bernabéu. His transfer follows a standout year at RB Leipzig, where his dynamic speed, technical flair, and prowess in front of goal elevated him to one of the continent’s elite youth prospects. Real Madrid acted decisively to beat out competing European heavyweights and wrap up the long-debated transfer.
Diomande joins Los Blancos off the back of a stellar individual campaign in Germany. The Ivory Coast international contributed 12 goals and nine assists for Leipzig last season, playing a crucial role in their top-three Bundesliga finish and subsequent UEFA Champions League qualification.
